Overview
Francine Parker received her undergraduate degree from Troy State University Montgomery and master’s degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Her doctorate in the department of Educational Foundations, Leadership and Technology at Auburn University was awarded in 2004. The dissertation was a phenomenological case study exploring the meaning of hope for a heart-lung transplant recipient. Dr. Parker served as nursing faculty at Auburn University Montgomery (AUM) for twelve years before joining AU in the fall of 2006. At AUM, she was a Distinguished Teaching Fellow and twice the recipient of the Irma Moore Faculty Excellence award.
