Salvation Army's
Angel Tree Project

The AU School of Nursing SGA along with students in the Chronic Illnesses in Children Class taught by Cheryl Smith, Pediatrics Instructor, participated in the Salvation Army's Angel tree project.

Students, faculty, and staff provided toys, clothes and bikes for 50 children selected by the Salvation Army.

Mountains of presents along with twenty bikes were loaded onto the Salvation Army truck on Friday, Dec. 10 and taken back to their office and will be given to those in need that were described on the "Angel". This community outreach project helps the students develop an attitude of volunteerism that is important in the nursing profession.
